What are Unregistered and Registered NDIS providers?
Not all NDIS providers need to register with the NDIS Commission, but all providers have legal obligations. Unregistered NDIS providers have obligations under the NDIS.
However, becoming a registered NDIS provider can provide some assurance to NDIS participants that your services and supports meet the level of quality and safety stated in the NDIS Practice Standards. NDIS providers must be registered to deliver some kinds of supports (e.g. implementing regulated restrictive practices in a behaviour support plan).
